18 minutes from Montepulciano, Tenuta Granducale Dolciano is in a strategic position to explore both regions of Tuscany and Umbria. This was home of The Medici Family and i will be pleased t tell you the story of the estate and to show you it after our organic cooking class if you like! The class begins with a warm welcome and a cup of coffee to kickstart our day of gastronomic adventures. We will then delve into the world of olive oil and wine, learning about their production and indulging in a tasting session to appreciate their unique qualities. At 10.30, we will move on to the heart of Italian cooking – homemade pasta making. Using only organic flours sourced from the local region, you will learn the art of creating delicate and delicious pasta from scratch. From tagliatelle bolognese made with IGP local meat to ravioli filled with organic vegetables straight from the farm, you will master the variety of pasta dishes that Italy is famous for.
By the time 12.00 rolls around, our stomachs will be rumbling, and it will be time to sit down for a well-deserved lunch. Each dish will be meticulously paired with complementing wines, enhancing the flavors and ensuring a memorable dining experience. After lunch, there will be time to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Through this Slow Cooking experience, we aim to share the essence of the Italian kitchen, emphasizing the connection between nature and the nourishing qualities of food. Our menu includes not only traditional dishes but also a touch of creativity and innovation.
