Lucia's limoncello
🍋 Limoncello Ingredients
10 organic Amalfi or Sorrento lemons (thick peel)
1 liter 95% pure alcohol
1 liter water
700–800 g sugar
Method
Wash lemons, peel only the yellow zest
Place peels in glass jar & cover with alcohol
Rest 20–30 days, shaking occasionally
Make syrup: dissolve sugar in water, cool
Strain peels, mix alcohol with syrup
Bottle & rest another 7–15 days
Serve ice cold ❄️ in small glasses.
Tip: The longer it rests after bottling, the creamier it becomes.
