Lucia's limoncello

🍋  Limoncello Ingredients

  • 10 organic Amalfi or Sorrento lemons (thick peel)

  • 1 liter 95% pure alcohol

  • 1 liter water

  • 700–800 g sugar

Method

  1. Wash lemons, peel only the yellow zest

  2. Place peels in glass jar & cover with alcohol

  3. Rest 20–30 days, shaking occasionally

  4. Make syrup: dissolve sugar in water, cool

  5. Strain peels, mix alcohol with syrup

  6. Bottle & rest another 7–15 days

Serve ice cold ❄️ in small glasses.

Tip: The longer it rests after bottling, the creamier it becomes.
